But… They are not fully tailored to YOUR specific needs.

That’s why I, with Out of the box IT, aim to combine standardized solutions with customer-specific customization. This allows for a fast startup of the project, while not loosing sight of those important parts that make your project unique.

This can only be achieved through collaboration and transparent communication from start to finish. Your input is most valuable.

With strong analytical skills, the ability to think out of the box and 10+ years experience in IT consulting I want to help you tackle your needs, even the ones you are still unaware of.

I listen to your story, capture your requirements and design your solution. Together we will plan the implementation and we will decide who is the best match for the job at hand.

Leaving you with a solution that you are comfortable with and can manage and operate with confidence, is the icing on the cake.

On-the-job training and one-on-one coaching, when needed, are other tools in my toolbox to get you to your destination.

As described above, I believe that the best results can only be obtained when working together and when there is real knowledge transfer that empowers you and your business to grow.

IT Consultancy

In the form of standard consultancy. We work together to determine, design and implement the best solution for your challenge.

You can hire me for a couple of days per week or just for a workshop to brainstorm and kick-start your journey.

Consultancy services are charged at a daily rate. Workshops can be charged at the rate of a half day, depending on the length of the workshop.

Training and Coaching

In-person training and coaching. Helping you grow and extend your technical skills and knowledge.

While outsourcing is a convenient way to get the job done (quickly), it does not contribute (much) to the personal growth of your people.

Training your own people makes sure your investments are kept in-house and makes you less dependent on your service provider (and, possibly, their yearly price indexations).

While you might still need a 3rd party for certain aspects of your future journey, investing in your own people, through training and coaching, will guarantee a better total result. With the extra skills and knowledge, your people will be able to better challenge the 3rd party, which will result in an overall superior project delivery.

Online Courses

Investing in your own technical skills or in the technical skills of your people can also be done through online courses (in the form of on-demand video courses), taken individually, each at their own pace.

Online courses can serve as a basis for an in-person training session, but that is not the only purpose. These courses can contribute to your overall knowledge on the topic and function as one of the building blocks in your own personal development track.

WHO AM I

Introduction

Hi, my name is Matthias. I started Out of the box IT in January 2023.

I am an experienced IT Consultant with more than 10 years of experience, working for different clients, mainly focused on Microsoft Infrastructure technologies.

I started my career in IT as a System Engineer, back in 2011, providing support for the customers of Ferranti Computer Systems. In 2012, I was promoted to Implementation Consultant and moved from support to project implementation.

In 2016, I changed careers to go work for Realdolmen, where I worked on a lot of different projects. First as System Engineer, after less than a year as Technical Consultant and since 2022, officially, as Senior Solution Architect.

During the last 2 years at Realdolmen, I also took on the role as Team Lead for a team of 14 consultants.
